Figuratives

DSC03601

there’s a reason why lovers don’t take to the mountains,
the huge boulders make way for the sand and the fire burns the trees making it more magnificent,
shine shine shine shine.
it grows dependent,
the lovers grow,
inside when the first twilight first first first.

the picture,
the braids,
the blackness,
the pedestal,
walking itchy foot,
going nowhere turned fat,
its the nose therefore,
the flat oily nose in the morning,
penchant for the demise,
the long legs turned fat,
the eyes turned bubbly,
i’m mistaken.

Being promoted in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

backThe last time I rolled in one of our branches I tapped out blue belts left and right, beat each consecutive players all higher belts and bemedalled in tournaments in their own rights. It was also the first time that I have to confront three players one after another. The first two I dominated while the last one outpointed me but cannot submit me–still I wasn’t promoted.

Last week I went to the branch again and even though I fought graciously though not submitting my opponents still I wasn’t promoted.

The experience broke me.

Three Stories

DSC03590

The Decorated Lawyer

She was a decorated student back in the days when she was taking up law, she graduated with honors and proceeded on working in a big company.

For years she worked hard to help the laborers in the company asserting their rights and their benefits. Then one day she lost her job following an altercation with some of the company’s bosses after arguing that instead of cutting down wages and firing people in the company indiscriminately to cut costs, the company should deal with employees who are becoming logs themselves (people in high positions who are not really working, instead just staying in their position just raking up salaries)

29 things I learned before being 29

DSC02781

In a few days I am turning 29, personally I dreaded each time of the year when I have to celebrate my birthday because it forces me to think back to what happened last year and as such theres always a negative thing or two to look back to, but there are also a lot of good things to always remember and keep in heart.

Why Should You Outsource Your SEO In The Philippines?

Why Should You Outsource Your SEO In The Philippines?

By: Carol Bustos-Santiago
Outsourcing has evidently been the smart thing to do for American and European businesses even way before the onset of the global economic turmoil. At the turn of the century, customer service hotlines were directed to developing countries such as the Philippines and India. As a matter of fact, the strong demand for offshore call centers made Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) one of the leading industries in the Philippines today. As wages for professionals soar in an unstable economy, companies in the first world countries realized it would be highly beneficial for them to outsource other aspects of their businesses for obvious cost-effective reasons. In the recent years, web design, copywriting, content editing, search engine optimization and other professional services were sought from the Philippines.

Does Google AdSense Affect Rankings?

Does Google AdSense Affect Rankings?

For all I know Google adsense doesn’t affect ranking, unless your website is a Made for Adsense (MFA) site chances are if you have good content and good number of back links then you are on the safe side of Googles rankings.

But theres a downside in having Google Adsense:

1. Google Adsense have the tendency to steal your customers if you are affiliate marketer.

2. Google Adsense have the tendency to self regulate itself and mark you as spam even if you are really just as innocent as ever.  (I’ve heard lots of fellow SEO Specialist who experienced this problem)

Aspiring Philippine Presidential Candidates using the power of the internet and websites in their campaign

Aspiring Philippine Presidential Candidates using the power of the internet and websites in their campaign

dsc0167323There’s a war going on.

It is a war of information while leveraging the power of the internet in giving that information as fast and reliable to each and everyone’s desktops.

And now this war has finally come at the doorsteps and the attention of running Presidential candidates in the Philippines.

It is no secret that the power of the internet played a dramatic role in the campaign of Senator Chiz Escudero following the number of contacts and traffic he got from his social networking sites (friendster, facebook, etc) not to mention the direct traffic from his website and the simple link that catapulted him in today’s youth.
