As of current time the company I’m working in asked me to refrain from using my laptop and instead use our standard desktop.
They said that it was for network security and ensuring the speed of the network.
I have no qualms about it really. Only that we use Linux in every desktop computer we have. And come to think of it if ever we get some virus it is our laptop that would suffer and not their system. Albeit they have a point in talking about speed of the internet as we could “potentially” download something but hey, they were able to track down a downloader before and was even able to show its exact IP in the network so whats the use.
Thing is I am not comfortable with Linux.
Other than it being so not user friendly (its open office etc), and stable (it just crashes in the middle of doing link development work). The only good thing about it perhaps is that its virus free.
But hey I’m just an employee and they are the company so then I have no choice but to accept what they want even at the expense of having to work properly.
Anyway just a word of advice… Please never use Linux ever… Because using it is just being close to, well… crazy.

I am going to install Windows 7 later in my computer and I’ll leave some updates soon (^_^)
