My former boss Marc Macalua or better known as Mr. SEO Philippines had his macbook stolen when robbers broke in to his condominium and stole around P220,000 worth of gadgets.
Now me and another SEO friend R was able to talk about the incident and because Roanne had nothing more to do in short she’s bored she decided to ask me for the post where Marc first talked about it in a forum.
And guess what our actions paid off! We found the macbook on an online selling site and informed Marc about it. The problem is the “alleged” culprit placed the serial number on the online selling site and yes it got crawled by Google.
So now comes the anti-fencing law which states that mere possession of stolen goods is criminally liable (to that effect if i’m not mistaken) and then came the face off between Marc and the culprit, which you can find HERE.
I feel sorry for the guy… He didn’t know about the power of Google and of SEO. I think he’s gonna get jailed for this if he does not surrender the laptop soon.
And anyway just a word of advice on what you should do if ever you got your mac stolen you can find it HERE.
Happy Happy – Joy Joy!
Nice work for us R! High Five!
