For the past few days I’ve been continually meeting people I knew a few years back. Hanging around with them and joking with them some I havent seen for 15 years while others around three years to five.
Last night I was able to go out with my college fraternity brods, Jonar and Mark.
Mark is now graduating from law school this saturday and he’d be taking the bar this year or the next. While Jonar became an entrepreneur and literally earned his first million when he was only 28 years old.
These two were the ones who invited me to join the organization. They were in third year college and I was a freshmen. I didn’t know any better that time though I was too naive to really think about my future. I guess everyone of us experience such one way or the other.
Anyway I haven’t seen Jonar for 10 years while Mark for 5 years. It was a good thing that we were able to see each other and talk about how life treated us so now here’s how life treated us lets’ begin with Mark.
Mark came from a poor family down south but he was able to finish college due to his intelligence and hard work. He worked afterwards to support his other siblings finish college. All throughout college he was active in student activities and even in law school was voted as a student council member. He dreams of working for an advocacy group that would help the less fortunate.
Jonars’ family are all in the US he’s married and has a kid and he decided to place his well earned money in a small business that eventually grew until he was able to have a house built as of current time he is a millionaire that still works for a pharmaceutical company.
Floyd is… ermm… Floyd is… uhmm… Yes I’m Floyd hahahaha
I am proud of these people as we talked about our old days and how thin we were because we don’t eat on time and how hard it is to earn a living after graduating from college. But needless to say we were able to get over all of the obstacles and now we’re happily doing what we like and seeing each other every now and then.
A breath of fresh air after a hard days work really…
