Kudos to the photographer
First it was ACS that retrenched its 900 employees, then came another thousand from Citibank and now another 3,000 from Intel Philippines.
Just last week an estimated 60,000 Filipinos are said to lose their work and its only January.
Etelecare was already bought by the Ayalas whilst saving its thousands of employees from losing jobs.
And the government has the gall to proclaim that the economy is doing well and can accommodate the ones who are going to loose their jobs.
The question is what are the jobs that the government has to offer?
Do they offer the same kind of specialization that these people have been doing for almost 12 years of their lives? Worst can the government even afford to pay them the same amount of salary they were getting from their old jobs?
Factories here and abroad are closing and because most of the income our country accumulates comes from our export products and of course our foreign milking cos being them OFW’s (who are by the way also bound to lose their jobs too.).
So whats’ in store for the country?
I’m not so sure but with the rate were going I think its a little bit more before we really bite the dust.
