On the eve of martial law i wasn’t born yet It was September 21, 1972 and when that day came this year i came to contemplate on its significance in our society and our children as well as my generation and I arrived at the conclusion that our country houses a bunch of Neo-Nazis.
Yes you got that right while in other countries it is punishable by law to idolize people such as Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin (not to mention Mao) In our country we just love the person who took away our future and dreams and murdered, tortured and raped thousands of Filipinos.
Yes. I’m talking of Ferdinand Marcos lovers such that I have to coin the term “Neo-Marcosians”.
So who are the Neo-Marcosians? They are the editors of lifestyle magazines who continuously splashes the faces of this Neo-Nazi Family in the pages of their magazines brainwashing the kids telling them that they will forever be the “In” people regardless of how many crimes they committed to the country.
If you say this post is becoming too personal I dare have you say that to those families who’s kids have been lost since the 70′s and not even a trace of their bodies have been found. Tell that to people who have been tortured day in and day out and have their graves dug up by themselves.
It’s not funny really. Just imagine yourself blindfolded and being beaten black and blue for no apparent reason just because it was martial law.
Who else are the Neo-Marcosians? They are the people who continue to justify martial law saying it was better before compared to now.
They are the Neo-Marcosians, and it is even harder to believe that these Neo-Marcosians are in Universities teaching our students.
Truth is we’re not really free from martial law… in fact we are just continuing it…
Sad truth but I guess we have to continually live with these Neo-Nazi’s or better yet Neo-Marcosians.
Sigh.
