The Boy Who Cried Wolf
There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, “Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!”
The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.
“Don’t cry ‘wolf’, shepherd boy,” said the villagers, “when there’s no wolf!” They went grumbling back down the hill.
Later, the boy sang out again, “Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!” To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.
When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, “Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don’t cry ‘wolf’ when there is NO wolf!”
But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.
Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, “Wolf! Wolf!”
But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn’t come.
At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn’t returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.
“There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, “Wolf!” Why didn’t you come?”
An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.
“We’ll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning,” he said, putting his arm around the youth, “Nobody believes a liar…even when he is telling the truth!”

I think I read this somewhere in a library (where I usually hang out before in my elementary days) and it left a great impression on my mind. But now I think it should be rewritten.
The group who cried RESIGN!
There once was a group who was alarmed with what was happening in their country, as they saw that the President amuses herself by bribing the military and corrupting the church they took a great breath and sang out, “Resign! This country is better off without you!”
The police and the military came running up EDSA to stop the protesters and drive them away. But when they arrived at the place there were only a handful of them shouting. The President laughed at the sight of their angry faces and thanked the masses for not supporting the protest as she campaigned that what the country needs is a “stable economy & a strong republic”.
Disillusioned the protesters went their own ways.
Later, the President and her men murdered hundreds of protesters, To her naughty delight, she watched the protesters run up EDSA to protest, but again there was only a handful of them shouting for justice and the military will not even let the media count how many they were so again they were stifled.
Depressed the protesters went their own ways.
The masses just grinned and watched them go grumbling down EDSA once more, for they believe that what the country needs is a “stable economy & a strong republic”.
Later, the President can’t control the prices of oil and food, and as more criminals adored her and became bolder and courts decided that it is better to grant justice to those who can afford them, millions of people in the country started to get really hungry and angry and well… dead, they later shouted “Resign! This country is better off without you!”
But the once who cried before them thought they were trying to fool themselves, and so they didn’t join their call.
The reign of the corrupt and evil President continued, everyone wondered why there were no protesters helping the masses. They searched for them only to find them outside of the country working and little by little taking their loved ones out of their country.
“She really was evil… her campaign for a “stable economy & a strong republic” is really not true she lied to everyone… Why didn’t you come and join our protest?” said a hungry part of the masses.
“My friend”, the old protester said “Nobody believes us before…even when we were telling the truth, now you need to be really hungry and fight your own battles, now it is your kind that has to die and jailed for fighting for what is just. We were the ones who fought for you before but now you must fight not for yourselves but for your future.”
“Nobody should believe a liar…even when everybody and the church says that she is telling the truth!”
