Some people are coming to my site looking for some advise on how to clean jiu-jitsu mats.
Anyway being a player of the sport for two years heres some good advise.
Mix some clorox and some anti-bacterial wash like domex think in a pail of water. A cup of clorox and a cup of domex will do.
Get a clean mop and rinse it thoroughly then mop your mats with water to clean the dust and other bacteria.
Repeat the first step twice and then while wet mop the mats with the mixture above with another clean mop.
Let it settle for an hour until it dries, then get a wet clean mop and mop it again twice then let it dry.
it is advisable that after doing this you dry the mats outside where theres some fresh air and sun to completely kill all the germs and bacteria.
Do this as often as possible, at least 4 times a month.
You see sometimes when mats are really dirty chances are it will be prone to bacterial fungi which could result to staph. Anyway other than it will help your gym smell good and clean and encourage more students to train in your gym it would also make the life of your mats longer.
I hope this helped ^_^
