In Memory of one of the greatest teachers in the Philippines: Dr. Fredegusto David

this is a post from my former blog and I thought of posting it here.  Some words are in Filipino but most of them are in english.

+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

1. *”Earth is the only heaven we can know.”

2. “When others deliberate to take the first step, you just take it.”

3. “Beauty is symmetry in complexity.”

4. “Beauty is symmetry and simplicity. That’s boring!”

5. “The aim of human life is integrity.”

6. “Success is defined by its context.”

7. “There is mystery and beauty in the unknown.”

Walking

It was late summer
the air was thick and humid
and beyond the great divide of the highway
the single stick of nicotine keeps the
cigarette vendor alive for the day.

The rush is farther from the consummate pollution
the smoke embraces you and feeds of you
until the grander soap relieves you of your being.

The walk was far and boring
in the stretch you turn your head and look for a clearing
you saw a waiting shed and the familiar verses
“Donated by Mayor XXXXXX”
You whispered a curse and stomped your feet.

Justice denied

“Nothing is to be preferred before justice.” – Socrates

1) whether the President followed up the NBN-ZTE project with Neri;
2) whether Neri was dictated by the President to prioritize the NBN-ZTE project;
3) whether he was told by the President to go ahead with the project after being told of the alleged bribe offer.

Yes the justices voted in favor of invoking executive privilege E.O. 464 in the following questions.

The following are the ones in favor of the decision:

SC Associate Justice Teresita de Castro, Associate Justices Renato Corona, Minita Chico-Nazario, Presbitero Velasco, Antonio Nachura, Dante Tinga, Arturo Brion, Leonardo Quisumbing, and Ruben Reyes.

If I were a priest

“You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say” – Martin Luther

An interesting conversation took place last holy week. I was asked by a friend of mine about the sanctity of confession in the Catholic Church.

I was asked that if I was a priest and GMA went to confess to me and told me about the ZTE deal that indeed she had a hand in it and she amassed millions of dollars, would I afterwards tell the people of what she said? Would I be a witness against the government?

Oplan evil 200

The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.- Albert Einstein

There is this thing that I usually do when I get hold of a 200 peso bill.

I draw horns and a tail and write the words “EVIL” on the picture of GMA being sworn to office in EDSA 2.

I say to myself the hell, whenever somebody would read this it will give them something to talk about or perhaps ask themselves why somebody placed this.

Why Should You Outsource Your SEO In The Philippines?

Why Should You Outsource Your SEO In The Philippines?

By: Carol Bustos-Santiago
Outsourcing has evidently been the smart thing to do for American and European businesses even way before the onset of the global economic turmoil. At the turn of the century, customer service hotlines were directed to developing countries such as the Philippines and India. As a matter of fact, the strong demand for offshore call centers made Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) one of the leading industries in the Philippines today. As wages for professionals soar in an unstable economy, companies in the first world countries realized it would be highly beneficial for them to outsource other aspects of their businesses for obvious cost-effective reasons. In the recent years, web design, copywriting, content editing, search engine optimization and other professional services were sought from the Philippines.

Does Google AdSense Affect Rankings?

Does Google AdSense Affect Rankings?

For all I know Google adsense doesn’t affect ranking, unless your website is a Made for Adsense (MFA) site chances are if you have good content and good number of back links then you are on the safe side of Googles rankings.

But theres a downside in having Google Adsense:

1. Google Adsense have the tendency to steal your customers if you are affiliate marketer.

2. Google Adsense have the tendency to self regulate itself and mark you as spam even if you are really just as innocent as ever.  (I’ve heard lots of fellow SEO Specialist who experienced this problem)

Aspiring Philippine Presidential Candidates using the power of the internet and websites in their campaign

Aspiring Philippine Presidential Candidates using the power of the internet and websites in their campaign

dsc0167323There’s a war going on.

It is a war of information while leveraging the power of the internet in giving that information as fast and reliable to each and everyone’s desktops.

And now this war has finally come at the doorsteps and the attention of running Presidential candidates in the Philippines.

It is no secret that the power of the internet played a dramatic role in the campaign of Senator Chiz Escudero following the number of contacts and traffic he got from his social networking sites (friendster, facebook, etc) not to mention the direct traffic from his website and the simple link that catapulted him in today’s youth.
