An Open Letter To The CBCP

Posted on February 28, 2008 with 8 Comments

“And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?” – Luke 6:39

To the CBCP Bishops,

Beloved Bishops of The Catholic Church.

I read your Pastoral Statement and I can’t help but think of what went wrong in the Catholic Church.

I can understand your search for truth, that you profess that you came as pastors and not as politicians “whose vocation (it) is to order society towards the common good.”

In memory of (D)E(a)DSA…

“To those who said let GMA finish her term… To those who said let the rule of law work for her impeachment… To those who said theres’ no better alternative than GMA… Need I say more?” – RIP EDSA 1 (1986-2008)

“Baguio Is a welcome break after the problems in Manila eats me up”. I said to myself. Panagbenga (Baguio Flower Festival) offered a more relatively healthy way of celebrating EDSA 1, that on the eve of the protest the activist in me who’s slowly turning to a pessimist/anarchist wants to turn a blind eye even for a few days but after reading the admission of GMA in knowing about the “Flawed NBN-ZTE deal” it hit me smack right on the face that no amount of high latitude climate could ever hinder the number of cuss words I uttered.

Travails of an SEO specialist|Problem #2: Keyword research advise

Posted on February 22, 2008 with No Comments

dsc01673Sometimes when you’re looking for really good keywords you have to ask some very basic questions:

(The list are as follows but you can also think creatively on what you can add.)

Who - are looking for your site.
What – do they need from your site.
Where – where will they find your products/site.
Why - why they need your products/site.
How - will they benefit from your site.

Seems easy, but really, it’s something you’d like to ponder on before venturing online.

Praying for a revolution

“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.”
- Confucius

Last night I was able to catch some few scenes from the show Probe. They featured the late cardinal Sin and how he decided to go against the Church he’s serving and fought against the dictatorship.

A number of points were raised (It really pains me for not being able to watch the entire episode) by Fr. James Reuter but the most significant if not the most heartbreaking, he said “The church is not as united as before.”

Questions

Posted on February 19, 2008 with 4 Comments

Last sunday I was watching the mass at La Salle Greenhills in support of Jun Lozada. And as I was listening to the sermon of the priest I thought perhaps we are on the verge of a moral breakdown thats why we need such people to stir up our conscience.

The priest lambasted the government of GMA and shouted support for Lozada. “Well, I thought it was a mass for Lozada isn’t it? It is just typical that they will even dance for him if they want to” the cynic in me said.
